The Active Hybrid is a hybrid car version of the BMW X6 whose novelty is a “two-mode” that is formed by a gasoline engine with a gearbox seven-speed automatic whose interior has two electric motors. The system is called two-mode (two modes) because it has two ways of operating, one for speed low and one for high.
Its braking system “Sensotronic Brake Actuation” simulates a conventional brake, but it is actually a processed electronic pedal force exerted by the foot of the driver decides that the generators provide deceleration and braking, but to be safe, the braking system incorporates a mechanical system.
The X6 Active Hybrid has a consumption of 9.9 liters per 100 km and can go from zero to 100 km per hour in under 6 seconds and reach a maximum speed of 236 km per hour, although that number can reach 250 with sports package.
This car has great potential thanks to its V8 petrol engine 408 hp with two electric motors 91 and 86 hp. This car can become a hybrid, “full” and that can operate in electric mode.
