The Volkswagen Polo BlueMotion available in Europe

VolkswagenVolkswagen has already begun taking orders for its new Polo Blue Motion in Europe. Warning: we do not talk about electric cars but environmentally friendly cars here (much less polluting than the hybrid Toyota Pries).

You may remember this concept car was revealed at the last Geneva Motor Show in March 2009. This little car has been hit with numerous people will soon be on the roads (March 2010). Under the hood it embeds a powerful 1.2-liter, TIDE diesel, 3 cylinders (specifically a 1.6 engine from a normal golf amended). In this configuration, with one less cylinder, the engine will consume 22% less fuel than the previous version of Blue Motion and will have an output of 73.8 horsepower.

This little car has other advantages, such as a system for recovering braking energy. The auto start-stop (on / off automatically) is also included and the most surprising is that it has an emission rate of CO2 equivalent to 87g/km (the Pries is 89 g / km CO2).

Although it has no motor, you can not deny it, the Blue Motion can be regarded as a green car.
