30% of potential consumers is planning to buy a car with low consumption or use alternative fuels, the study said “Cars Online”, conducted by consulting firm Capgemini to 3,100 people from Brazil, China, France, Germany, India , Russia, UK and USA.

The report shows that the reasons for the purchase of potential consumers interested in taking a car with lower or alternative fuel consumption are the lowest price of fuel and environmental impact.

The report indicates that 41% of respondents own a vehicle of this kind, while 90% of users use the Internet as a research tool when purchasing a new car and 40% of respondents have shown willing to buy a car through the network and 50% opted for the purchase of parts and spares online.

As for the loyalty of consumers, the study claims that 68 per cent of those questioned has been willing to repeat car brand and 63 percent indicated it would accept to make the acquisition in the same outlet.

Furthermore, the report by Capgemini states that are showing new trends in online purchases among consumers in regard to vehicles, parts, accessories, alternative fuel cars and aftermarket services.

Furthermore, the document reflects the first signs of convergence between the emerging markets of Brazil, Russia, India and China and mature markets, in regard to the factors that determine the buying decision for customers.
