Renault Clio as an innovation to include a version with a gasoline engine that supports the variant of bioethanol E85, with a combined cycle consumption of 5.9 litres/100 km and CO2 emissions do not exceed the 139 g / km. This version is included in the agenda Renault eco2. It also has three basic requirements: one that emits less than 140 g / km of CO2, two, that certify to ISO 14001 and three, the car is recyclable by 95 %.
The engine is a 1.2 16v 75 hp to which he has made modifications to suit the new fuel. One is the modification of the injection system, also from the combustion chamber and fuel tank. This model is called Business, it is intended for large enterprises. Its price from April 1 will be 14,190 euros.
The Clio in question, as I said before, this one aimed at the companies. But very soon the French brand will sell to the public. In the by now, has no difference with the normal Clio, except the engine.
Renault like many European brands, is thinking seriously about alternative fuels. And it is noteworthy that French brands are well trained with them, because throughout its history many prototypes presented with this kind of fuel or something similar. Another thing we must not forget, is the idea of developing the electric car, where PSA and Renault has experience.
