Hybrid Car Engines

Hybrid cars are the first step to get rid of the internal combustion engine, many brands took this class seriously engine (Toyota and Honda), but others believe there is no need to bother to develop them, and will not be the engines of the future (if the 100% electric and possibly hydrogen).
But this does not mean that these engines have much to offer. The hybrid vehicle is the combination of an internal combustion engine and one electric. There are two types: the so-called parallel (both thermal and the electric motor can spin the wheels) and the series, (the petrol engine generates electricity and traction is provided by the electric motor only).
Unlike a conventional engine, the internal combustion engine operates at peak efficiency.
The advantages are:
Less than a thermal noise.
More elasticity than a conventional engine.
Greatest response.
Energy recovery in decelerations.
Greater autonomy than a simple electric.
Increased softness and ease of use.
Recharge faster than an electric.
Best performance on short trips.
Much lower consumption.
In short runs do not need to start the engine, and prevents cold working.
The electrical system is more powerful and versatile and it is difficult to run out of battery by leaving something on.
The extra electrical power is also used to use, for example, air conditioning with heat engine stopped.
The disadvantages are:
A hybrid car has more weight than a conventional car (you have to add the electric motor and batteries).
More complexity and more possibility of failures.
The price, though there are now aid to improve its final price.
Across the world are appreciating this kind of engines, Toyota already being produced since 1997, and just as Honda a few years later, but now it’s Chevrolet which will give an important shift in the Volt (and the Opel Ampera) that the end of 2010 approx., went into production. It is important that the hybrid car to reach all possible people.
