Great news the the other day where the company announced that Sichuan China Heavy Industrial Machinery Tenghong bought brand SUVs General Motors (GM). Sichuan Tenghong Heavy Industrial Machinery is a company dedicated to the production of equipment for road construction and the news is relevant and would be the first time a Chinese company acquires a U.S. automotive brand.
Nobody had thought for years that HUMMER go into the hands of a Chinese manufacturer of commercial vehicles and wind generators, but the way things are.
We recall that this vehicle was born in the 80s, when the U.S. Army launched a competition to find a replacement for the jeep road which had proved its effectiveness in the battlefields of World War II.
The Humvee as it is known military version was tested on several fronts, Panama, Africa … but it was the Gulf War led him to fame. They say that after seeing him ride the dunes on the images you missed the CNN, U.S. consumers flocked to demand a “civil version.” And, just a year after the start of the race, was born on Hummer.
The Hummer has had its market but has failed to adapt to changes and now has no choice but to renew or die, and this renewal is supposed to be greener without question.
Hummer is in the process of finding the solution to meet the consumption and emissions regulations on one hand and market demand for another. The solution could be the launch of a H4 (such as “small” HX Concept), and even marketing a battery-powered model. You can get a Hummer from some auto auction.
On the other hand culling is not a hybrid or electric but also valued mechanical introduce alternative fuels. It will take time to see what’s new but I like to see how the Chinese Sichuan Industrial Heavy Tenghong sells a 100% American.
