Before electricity, there will be a hybrid! If the concept is hardly new (the Toyota Prius appeared in 1997), Ford has the implant in the very dynamic compact MPV.

Thus, two versions of the C-Max should theoretically get the concession in 2013: the dubbed an HEV, PHEV another. The “P” means the second version of “plug-in, that is to say that the vehicle will be recharged directly from the mains.

To start and produce these vehicles, Ford announced an investment of around 27 million euros. The money should also be made by the local community of Valencia , since the vehicles will be assembled there.

Ford and Volkswagen in the Tourna are currently the only manufacturers to have announced their willingness to implement hybrid engines in their mid-range MPVs.
