Even though the Cavalier was introduced back in 1981, the 1997 model is only the second generation of Chevy's second-best-selling car. The debut of the current version in 1995 ended a 13-year run for the original General Motors "J" car. The Cavalier is a world traveler: a right-hand-drive version is sold in Japan as the Toyota Cavalier, a Chilean automotive publication named it "Car of the Year," and it was the best-selling new car in Israel in 1995. Probably over the year 2009 witness the moment of hatching of the car market of hybrid cars. It seems clear that the future is, inevitably, by the use of cars that combine gasoline engines with electric motors, resulting in cost savings for users of cars and energy to the environment.
